Through their official website www.linkinpark.com, Linkin Park has announced their new single, 'Iridescent,' will be featured as the end title song in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Michael Bay film, 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. The track is a fresh take of the song 'Iridescent' which originally appeared on the band’s current album, 'A Thousand Suns'. The third instalment of the blockbuster 'Transformers' series opens worldwide July 1, 2011.

London-based post-punkers Chapel Club have revealed details of an intimate gig at the Shacklewell Arms in Dalston on 18th May. The London pub was the location of some of Chapel Club’s earliest gigs and the band will be returning there for the one-off performance ahead of their three-night residency supporting Suede at Brixton O2 Academy. The show will coincide with Chapel Club’s new single ‘Blind’, which is due out on 16th May and is the latest to be taken from their debut album ‘Palace’.

Berlin based instrumentalists The Pattern Theory have spent almost two years distilling their ideas for the eight songs that make up their self titled debut album. The band has put this down to producing too many ideas musically and being overly perfectionist, so lucky for The Pattern Theory all this time and care has paid off.

Well, after coming up on my iTunes under ‘Gucci’ I managed to find my sampler of The Maine’s 'Black And White' album, out this month. The Maine are one of the rising stars of the ever growing pop rock scene. The album, produced by heavyweight Howard Benson, who has worked with My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach and Daughtry, instantly gives the album credibility, and the production on the CD is flawless. Already the album’s achieved Billboard Top 20 status in America and they’ve been selling out tours on both sides of the Atlantic.
